The World Famous Salt Lounge arose from a vision that haunted its founder Hindlechad Goldstein into action.  Goldstein was dismayed by the music industry's emphasis on creativity, talent and delivery of desirable content.  By redirecting funds from community well water drilling projects in Uganda, Goldstein crafted an intimate yet vibrant setting.  The Salt Lounge has served as a sanctuary for those unequipped for the stage, but nevertheless possess a spirited drive to perform. 

The Salt Lounge enjoys a decades-long and storied history from hosting a wide spectrum of performers.  Many fall from the stage, only to return more determined and inebriated.   The Salt Lounge serves as the venue for such legendary performances.
